Job Requirements

  • Proven cooking experience including experience as a line chef/prep cook
  • familiarity and fluency in kitchen terminology
  • excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, procedures, and equipment
  • accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • familiar with industry best practices
  • willingness to pursue ServSafe certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • prepare food for service
  • cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • clean up station and kitchen
  • stock inventory appropriately
  • ensure that food comes out at high quality and in a timely fashion
  • comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • complete temperature logs and checklists for daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • participate in all roles in the kitchen as required, including as dishwasher when needed
