Job Requirements
- completion of four years of high school or equivalent
- minimum of two years culinary experience
- judgment and planning skills required for food preparation
- must be able to pass Southcoast written culinary exam
- ServSafe certification required within 60 days of hire
- must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or exempt with signed statement

- institutional culinary experience preferred
- judgment and planning skills for food preparation
- ability to pass Southcoast written culinary exam
- ServSafe certification within 60 days of hire
- fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption
Job Duties
- prepare short-order foods
- prepare made to order foods
- prepare Garde Manger items for departmental feeding
- perform scratch cooking including soups, stews, chowders, and chili
- monitor food quality, temperature, and flavor
- identify and correct any food quality issues
- accurately extend recipes for proper yields
- maintain up-to-date production and temperature records
- keep refrigerators and freezers clean and organized
- follow established sanitation guidelines
- report problems to Chef or Manager on duty
- perform other reasonable duties as assigned
