Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment
- culinary certification or degree from an accredited culinary school preferred
- strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- good communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude
- flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot environment

Job Duties
- prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
- collaborate with the head chef and kitchen staff in menu planning and recipe development
- maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
- ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service deadlines
- assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies, receiving shipments, and monitoring stock levels
- adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food items
- clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
- monitor and control food waste and portion sizes to minimize costs
- assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff as needed
- stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continuously improve skills
