Job Requirements

  • Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Requires a minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
  • Requires knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry cooking
  • Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Requires ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Requires ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform job functions
  • Frequently works with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • Frequently works in hot environment
  • Frequently immerses hands in water and chemical solutions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year cooking experience in a high-volume, casual dining environment preferred
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques for soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry stations
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions and policies
  • Effective communication skills with customers and team members
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand, bend, and twist as needed
  • Familiarity with food safety and HACCP standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods according to recipes and product directions
  • Taste and season food to ensure quality
  • Communicate ticket times and issues to management and servers
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Follow food safety and HACCP standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment and perform food preparation tasks
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check food product temperatures
