Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- five years of aircraft maintenance experience
- five years of experience in heavy transport aircraft
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- available for occasional overnight travel
- must be able to acquire and maintain valid Security Identification Display Area badge
- must be able to work flexible hours during day and night operations
- willing to work overtime when operational requirement is needed
- depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain United States Customs Clearance
- must pass pre-employment drug test
- must be legally eligible to work in the country of employment
- authorization to work in the US is required
- position not eligible for visa sponsorship
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- five years of aircraft maintenance experience
- five years of experience in heavy transport aircraft
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- available for occasional overnight travel
- ability to acquire and maintain valid Security Identification Display Area badge
- willingness to work flexible and overtime hours
- ability to acquire and maintain United States Customs Clearance if required
- proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and digital manuals
- ability to stay focused and work under pressure
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- strong work ethic
- previous leadership experience
- bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance Management preferred
- two years of maintenance control experience preferred
Job Duties
- Use real time aircraft monitoring applications to provide proactive resolution of in-service discrepancies
- act as central point of contact for frontline crewmembers, business partners, and all aircraft maintenance related matters
- supervise and coordinate all unscheduled maintenance functions as per JetBlue procedures
- serve as focal point within the System Operations Center for aircraft maintenance and provide bidirectional communications to business unit members
- provide real time recovery support and technical advice for out of service aircraft liaising with maintenance, engineering, dispatch, and flight
- maintain surveillance of overall line station activity and support JetBlue line maintenance and contract maintenance partners
- manage the application of the deferred maintenance process and track repair requirements as outlined in the maintenance manual and operating specifications
- record all delays and cancellations including flight interruptions for cities lacking JetBlue staffed Aircraft Maintenance Technicians
- perform other duties as assigned
