Job Requirements

  • Completed high school diploma or GED
  • must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
  • strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift
  • previous employment verification may be required
  • physically able to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with arms, climb stairs, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • able to lift and/or move objects weighing 25 pounds or more

Job Qualifications

  • previous work experience with the public in a service setting is preferred
  • ability to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
  • ability to stand or walk for an entire work shift

Job Duties

  • Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons
  • patrol and roam the guest areas of the venue, monitoring areas for safety and compliance with the house rules, interacting with guests, and addressing safety and security concerns
  • operate metal detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent the passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas
  • partner with fellow crew members at the end of the show to close the venue, which includes collecting recyclables and properly storing event equipment
  • warn persons of rule infractions or violations
  • write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
  • apprehend and evict guests in violation of house rules or causing safety hazards
  • examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity
  • provide accommodation for guests with special needs including aiding wheelchair users
  • inform guests of venue layout and direct them to restrooms, concession stands, and designated seats or sections
  • patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
