Job Requirements
- Live within 30 minutes of Madison city center
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have reliable transportation options
- Have the availability and flexibility to work 19 hours per week
- No conflicts of interest such as business ownership or affiliations with competitors
- Meet Yelp Elite Squad eligibility requirements and comply with Elite Terms of Membership
- Agree to Yelp’s guidelines forbidding compensated promotions
- Submit a representation of understanding the role’s expectations and compliance requirements
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in event planning or community management preferred
- Proficiency with social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
- Deep knowledge and passion for Madison's local culture and businesses
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships
Job Duties
- Be the face of Yelp in Madison by attending local events and building relationships with business owners and community organizers
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute Yelp events in Madison
- Engage with the local Yelp Elite Squad online and offline by hosting events and sharing updates
- Build Yelp collections for the Local Yelp newsletter focusing on weekly themes and featured businesses
- Manage Yelp’s local social media presence across Instagram and Twitter
- Maintain communication with community members to promote local business discovery
- Foster collaboration and community growth through strategic outreach and engagement
