Job Requirements
- Associate of Science degree or 2 years of technical training plus 2 years related experience
- high school diploma or GED and 4 years related experience can be substituted for 2 years technical training
- ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime on rotational basis
- willingness to join a union
- ability to obtain and maintain Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship and proof of citizenship
- must be able to pass physical examinations consistent with job classification
- must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
- ability to handle high stress levels
- visual, hearing, and speaking acuity required

Job Duties
- Configure, operate, and monitor the Space-to-Ground Link Terminal equipment needed to communicate with mission spacecraft
- Configure, operate, and monitor the Tracking, Telemetry, and Command resources needed to control and communicate with the Tracking and Data Relay Satellites
- Monitor telemetry from the Tracking and Data Relay Satellites and transmit commands as required
- Quickly resolve system anomalies to ensure uninterrupted operations
- Generate and maintain pertinent operational documentation
- Respond quickly and effectively during critical and emergency situations
- Implement appropriate routine and contingency procedures with limited supervision
- Provide on-the-job training to other controllers
- Work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime on a rotational basis
- Obtain and maintain required security clearance
- Meet physical job requirements including lifting, sitting, standing, and handling high stress levels
