Job Requirements
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 21 years of age with 1 year driving experience
- Registered with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles endorsements required
- Reside within 75 miles of assigned terminal
- Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Ability to safely drive in all terrains and weather conditions
- Ability to perform physical activities like lifting, twisting, climbing
- Pass pre-employment drug screen, random drug and alcohol tests
- Pass FMCSA medical exam and road test
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Comply with all company policies and Code of Conduct
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Meet FMCSA requirements for English proficiency
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum 21 years of age with at least 1 year of driving experience
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Registration with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles endorsements required
- Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack
- Stable employment history preferred
- Familiarity with FMCSA rules and state motor vehicle laws
- Ability to meet FMCSA English language requirements
- Successful completion of FMCSA medical exam and road test
- Ability to lift 70 lbs or more
Job Duties
- Operate tractor/trailer to transport freight safely and legally
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment
- Maintain records for compliance with regulations
- Comply with FMCSA and hazardous materials transportation requirements
- Secure equipment and cargo
- Use in-cab technology including electronic logs
- Assist with loading/unloading freight and dock work
- Drive in varied terrain and environmental conditions
- Provide professional and courteous customer service
- Report maintenance problems promptly
