Job Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian credentials
  • One year of experience in senior living preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Master’s degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by ACEND
  • Meets eligibility requirements for RD/RDN by CDR and will become registered within 120 days of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
  • Minimum management experience of 2 years
  • Minimum functional experience of 3 years in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics plus registered dietitian

Job Duties

  • Provide compassionate care to skilled nursing and/or rehab residents
  • Consistently meet DOH/state/federal and company standards
  • Serve as an active member of the interdisciplinary team, working closely with nursing and medical staff and attending care conferences as assigned
  • Perform quality improvement initiatives such as test trays, food service audits, and meal rounds
  • Oversee 12 FTEs
  • Provide support to assisted living as needed
