Job Requirements
- Must be qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under FMCSR rules with a current and unrestricted DOT physical card
- Must have a current and appropriate operator's license
- Ability to drive safely
- Able to carry out instructions without constant supervision
- Ability to remain professional and courteous at all times
- Ability to adjust vehicle controls quickly and repeatedly
- Must be able to meet the company's driver eligibility guidelines
- Must successfully complete all company training and certification
- Frequent travel with occasional overnight stays
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds, and push or pull 50-pound loads
- Must be able to use the three-point hold when entering trucks and forklifts
- Must be able to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Valid driver's license for the type of vehicle being operated
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English sufficiently to converse with the public and respond to inquiries
- Successful completion of on-the-job training
- Ability to use navigation tools and plan delivery routes
- Ability to maintain basic logs and records
- Must meet company driver eligibility guidelines
- Successful completion of company training and certification, including forklift certification
Job Duties
- Drive delivery truck or van to deliver millwork trim, interior and exterior doors, metal and patio doors, stock and special order doors to retail facilities and commercial job sites
- Collect payments from commercial contractors on COD orders and gather signatures and identification information from store employees at delivery
- Use navigation tools such as GPS, smartphone apps, and maps to locate delivery locations efficiently
- Record delivery information on daily delivery records
- Treat all millwork customers with courtesy and respect
- Act as customer service liaison between customers and millwork facility
- Listen to and resolve service complaints, reporting to management as needed
- Assist in warehouse and assembly area with stocking, loading, and organizing materials
- Collect and pick up empty containers, trash, and rejected or unsold merchandise
- Load and unload delivery truck while ensuring ticket accuracy
- Regularly clean and maintain delivery truck or van
- Perform routine safety checks on delivery vehicles according to company guidelines
- Attend team meetings and company training sessions
- Perform other related duties as assigned
