Job Requirements
- Must be qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under FMCSR rules including current and unrestricted DOT physical card
- Must have current and appropriate operator’s license for the equipment
- Must be able to meet company’s driver eligibility guidelines
- Must successfully complete on-the-job training
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and occasionally move or lift up to 100 pounds and push or pull 50-pound loads
- Must be able to use three-point hold when entering trucks or forklifts
- Must be able to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work in various types of weather
- Ability to travel frequently with occasional overnight stays
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to drive safely
- Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or maps
- Ability to plan delivery routes
- Ability to maintain basic logs and records
- Ability to carry out instructions without constant supervision
- Able to remain professional and courteous
- Able to adjust controls of a vehicle quickly and repeatedly
- Must meet company driver eligibility guidelines
- Must complete all company training and certification including forklift certification
- Ability to communicate in English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand highway signs
- Hold a valid driver’s license for the required vehicle
Job Duties
- Drives delivery truck or van to deliver millwork trim, interior and exterior doors, metal and patio doors, stock and special order doors to retail facilities and/or commercial job sites
- Collects payments from commercial contractors on COD orders and gathers signature and identification
- Records delivery transactions on millwork paperwork
- Follows directions and uses a map or navigation tools to locate delivery locations efficiently
- Records delivery information on daily delivery records
- Treats all customers with courtesy and respect and acts as customer service liaison
- Assists in warehouse and assembly area with stocking, loading, and organizing materials when needed
- Picks up empty containers, trash, and rejected or unsold merchandise
- Loads and unloads delivery vehicle ensuring ticket accuracy
- Maintains and cleans delivery vehicle regularly
- Performs routine safety checks on delivery trucks or vans
- Attends team meetings and company training sessions
- Performs other related duties as assigned
