Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • valid California Class C Driver's license
  • minimum age of 21 years
  • clean driving record
  • ability to pass background check
  • ability to pass drug test
  • previous warehouse experience preferred
  • minimum 2 years driving experience or relevant training
  • physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • ability to organize items properly
  • knowledge of driving laws and company safety policies
  • knowledge of accident procedures

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • any combination of education and experience qualifying for successful job performance
  • possess valid California Class C Driver's license
  • be at least 21 years of age
  • must have clean driving record
  • ability to pass background check and drug test
  • previous warehouse experience strongly preferred
  • at least 2 years of professional driving-related experience or training
  • ability to work a five-day work week
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • ability to organize items in proper sequence
  • knowledge of driving laws and speed limits
  • knowledge of accident procedures for warehouse or company vehicle

Job Duties

  • operate a bobtail flatbed truck with a lift gate ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and company safety standards
  • safely load and secure packages on the truck to prevent shifting or damage during transit
  • conduct regular inspections of the vehicle addressing any maintenance issues promptly
  • navigate routes effectively utilizing GPS systems and maintaining awareness of road conditions
  • receive orders through supervisor from prepared and prioritized work tags
  • collaborate with warehouse teams to accurately pull and verify orders according to delivery schedules
  • organize materials on the truck optimizing space utilization and preventing damage
  • use proper lifting and handling techniques to load packages minimizing injury risk
  • verify accuracy of loaded items against delivery documentation
  • learn and operate forklift and man lift safely within standards
  • maintain punctual schedule by planning routes efficiently considering traffic and delivery priorities
  • monitor weather and road conditions adapting routes for safety and timeliness
  • communicate effectively with customers providing estimated arrival times and addressing potential delays
  • unload materials promptly upon arrival utilizing lift gate and following safety protocols
  • greet customers courteously verifying identity and ensuring positive impression
  • assist customers with unloading materials providing guidance on handling techniques
  • address customer inquiries professionally escalating complex issues appropriately
  • maintain a customer-focused approach ensuring positive experience
  • complete accurate bills of lading and required paperwork capturing delivery details
  • collect necessary signatures maintaining organized delivery records aiding tracking
  • communicate delivery issues or special instructions through proper documentation
  • submit all documentation promptly to relevant parties
  • adhere to safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment
  • conduct pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections reporting concerns
  • maintain clean and organized truck interior preventing clutter
  • demonstrate awareness of hazards taking proactive risk mitigation measures
