Job Requirements
- adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and any applicable contracts, signed agreements, and work rules
- cooperates with all management and staff of GLWAS
- follows all MLCC rules and regulations as they apply to the position
- use alcohol in a responsible manner when related to business activities
Job Qualifications
- 21 years of age and older
- chauffeur and CDL A license with airbrake endorsement
- hi-lo and pallet jack experience
- must be willing to work in all weather conditions
- willingness to take direction and work independently
- ability to occasionally lift up to 55 lbs
- acceptable driving record
Job Duties
- Deliver product with tractor/trailer between Highland Park and Detroit depots to cross docks throughout Michigan
- perform pre/post trip inspections
- follow all D.O.T. and state regulated laws including Hours of Service and Electronic Logging Device compliance
- unload product at cross-docks
- assist in separating and staging product
- operate power and manual pallet jacks
- operate hi-lo equipment
- perform clean-up of area as needed
- take loads to other depots to cover other drivers
- other tasks as assigned by supervision
