Job Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- must pass pre-employment background check
- ability to regularly lift, pull, or push up to 70 pounds
- able to pull or roll up to 300 pounds when working with totes
- ability to handle unpleasant odors from food waste and farms
- ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- safety sensitive position requiring diligence and clear mind
Job Qualifications
- Class A CDL license with self-certification as a Non-Excepted Interstate driver
- clean motor vehicle record (MVR) and PSP
- at least 23 years of age with a minimum of 2 years full-time tractor-trailer driving experience or 21 years with 1 year of experience from Truck Driving School or military
- stable work history
- ability to read, speak, and understand English
- preferred 5 years Class A driving experience with no accidents or incidents
- strong time management and route consistency skills
- effective communication and customer service skills
- knowledge of hydraulics is a plus
Job Duties
- Load, haul, and deliver food waste on intra- and interstate routes with multiple stops
- operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles per DOT and local laws
- use manual or electric pallet jacks as needed
- utilize pressure washers to clean bins and containers at client locations
- perform pre- and post-trip inspections
- maintain basic truck equipment and cleanliness
- utilize electronic logging system for DOT driver logs
- maintain and submit paperwork for contamination, service tickets, and truck maintenance
- report all accidents and injuries immediately to the safety manager
