Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
  • at least one year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
  • valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • insurable to operate company vehicle
  • ability to communicate sufficiently in English
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 350 pounds with equipment
  • willingness to work overnight, weekends, holidays or overtime
  • able to comply with DOT regulations and food safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
  • completion of tractor trailer driving school accepted
  • valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
  • skill in long-distance driving and customer communication
  • ability to handle food, frozen, dry, and refrigerated products
  • ability to operate tractor-trailer, 3 axle tractor, 45'-48' trailer, straight truck, and load handling equipment
  • problem-solving and organizational skills
  • ability to perform basic math operations

Job Duties

  • Safely transports product from warehouse to customer location
  • unloads product by hand or using hand cart according to customer specifications
  • picks up, loads, and unloads damaged goods and customer returns
  • completes all required paperwork accurately and timely including DOT logs and inspection reports
  • ensures food safety protocols and sanitary conditions are maintained
  • follows preferred work methods and reports unsafe conditions
  • operates assigned equipment safely
  • develops good relationships with customers through courteous service
  • communicates route or product issues to management
  • transports backhaul products timely and correctly
  • works assigned schedule including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • adheres to company policies and standards
