Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- 6 plus months commercial driving experience
- valid CDL-A license
- must be 21 plus years of age
- meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- pass road test
- valid current DOT health card or able to secure new DOT health card
- able to hand-lift and utilize equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to move and stack product cases of varying size and weight throughout shift

- onboard computer and electronic log system experience
- hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience
- customer service-related work experience
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor, truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- report all safety issues and repairs required
- follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines
- immediately report all safety hazards
- inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- perform count check of items and check customer invoices of loaded products
- complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- perform damage control checks on items, scan and contact supervisor about removing orders per company policy
- verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- collect money where required
- load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- ensure tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean
- complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state and company requirements
- at end of shift secure all equipment and complete paperwork
- perform other related duties as assigned
