Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements
- Able to hand-lift and use equipment to move product cases weighing 10 to 90 pounds
- Pass all required safety inspections and DOT regulations
- Complete accurate and legible paperwork
- Maintain professionalism when interacting with customers and coworkers
- Pass drug test, background check, and road test
- Ability to work day shifts on a 4-day work week (Tuesday-Friday)
- Valid CDL-A license in good standing
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid CDL-A license
- 6 plus months commercial driving experience
- Clean motor vehicle report for past three years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or hold valid DOT health card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment to move freight
- Preferred 1 plus years foodservice distribution experience
- Experience with onboard computer and electronic log systems
- Experience with handheld scanning systems
- Customer service-related work experience
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections
- Report all safety issues and repairs required
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
- Perform count checks of loaded items and verify customer invoices
- Complete accurate paperwork associated with freight
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedule
- Unload products and transport to designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks and scan items
- Verify delivery with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect payments where required
- Load customer returns and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are secured
- Unload damaged goods and complete necessary paperwork
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and dock area
- Secure all equipment and complete paperwork at shift end
- Perform other related duties as assigned
