Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance
  • Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible management experience in financial institutions
  • Strong background in risk management and enterprise risk assessments
  • Familiarity with COSO risk management framework
  • Proven management experience in risk, internal audit, vendor management
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills
  • Superior communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with executives and board
  • Willingness to take hands-on approach
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Commitment to organizational values and culture

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance
  • Master of Business Administration preferred
  • Certified Internal Auditor preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive management experience in financial institutions
  • Strong background in enterprise risk management
  • Experience with COSO framework and regulatory compliance
  • Proven leadership in managing risk and internal audit functions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing third-party risk and business continuity planning
  • Analytical mindset with ability to leverage data for decisions
  • Commitment to credit union mission and member-first approach
  • Adaptability in dynamic environments

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement a robust enterprise risk management framework
  • Advise the CEO and board on risk exposures and mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with executive team to integrate risk management into operations and planning
  • Oversee internal audit function and manage audit plans
  • Manage third-party risk management program ensuring alignment with strategic goals
  • Oversee records retention ensuring compliance with legal requirements
  • Lead business continuity planning and testing to ensure operational resilience
  • Manage corporate insurance program including selection and claims
  • Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations
  • Lead and mentor risk management, audit, and vendor management teams
  • Serve as key advisor to CEO and board on risk matters
  • Participate in strategic planning integrating risk considerations
  • Support innovation initiatives assessing and managing risk
  • Perform other duties as assigned
