Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance
- Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible management experience in financial institutions
- Strong background in risk management and enterprise risk assessments
- Familiarity with COSO risk management framework
- Proven management experience in risk, internal audit, vendor management
- Excellent leadership and team development skills
- Superior communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with executives and board
- Willingness to take hands-on approach
- Analytical thinking skills
- Commitment to organizational values and culture
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance
- Master of Business Administration preferred
- Certified Internal Auditor preferred
- Minimum 15 years of progressive management experience in financial institutions
- Strong background in enterprise risk management
- Experience with COSO framework and regulatory compliance
- Proven leadership in managing risk and internal audit functions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing third-party risk and business continuity planning
- Analytical mindset with ability to leverage data for decisions
- Commitment to credit union mission and member-first approach
- Adaptability in dynamic environments
Job Duties
- Develop and implement a robust enterprise risk management framework
- Advise the CEO and board on risk exposures and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with executive team to integrate risk management into operations and planning
- Oversee internal audit function and manage audit plans
- Manage third-party risk management program ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Oversee records retention ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Lead business continuity planning and testing to ensure operational resilience
- Manage corporate insurance program including selection and claims
- Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations
- Lead and mentor risk management, audit, and vendor management teams
- Serve as key advisor to CEO and board on risk matters
- Participate in strategic planning integrating risk considerations
- Support innovation initiatives assessing and managing risk
- Perform other duties as assigned
