Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- previous cooking or food service experience
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain
- team-oriented mindset

Job Duties
- Assist the Food Service Manager in planning, preparing, and serving meals for groups of various sizes
- maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining hall environment
- support in ordering, receiving, and storing food and supplies
- ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices in compliance with health and safety standards
- supervise and assist kitchen volunteers or support staff as needed
- provide excellent customer service to all guests, ensuring positive dining experiences
- work as part of the Food Service team to support the overall mission of YMCA Camp Carter
