Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
reliable attendance and punctuality
good communication skills
physical ability to stand, walk, bend and lift intermittently during shifts
willingness to learn and adapt
experience in food preparation a plus

Job Qualifications

Able to read, write, speak and understand English
must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day
must meet general health requirements set forth by facility policies
must be able to safely perform job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
cooking experience preferred
training available

Job Duties

Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety including all supplies and equipment
adhere to the work schedule
assist other kitchen staff with meal preparation
serve residents and their guests in a friendly, timely, and courteous manner
assist in cleaning the dining rooms following meal service
prep materials for the next shift
wash dishes
assist with special events within the facility
prepare special orders from residents and their guests
