Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
  • weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
  • prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards
  • operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
  • test foods for proper cooking
  • monitor food quality
  • set-up and break down work stations
  • serve food in proper portions and receptacles
  • wash and disinfect kitchen area, tools, knives, and equipment
  • check temperatures of appliances and food
  • follow safety and security policies
  • report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
  • complete safety training
  • maintain professional appearance
  • protect company assets
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • develop positive working relationships
  • support team goals
