Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
- weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
- prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards
- operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
- test foods for proper cooking
- monitor food quality
- set-up and break down work stations
- serve food in proper portions and receptacles
- wash and disinfect kitchen area, tools, knives, and equipment
- check temperatures of appliances and food
- follow safety and security policies
- report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
- complete safety training
- maintain professional appearance
- protect company assets
- communicate clearly and professionally
- develop positive working relationships
- support team goals
- respond to employee concerns
- adhere to quality standards
- perform physical duties such as standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds
