Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 5 years of professional cooking experience
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work a full-time 4/3 day rotation schedule
- strong communication and leadership skills
- ability to follow dietitian and dietary manager instructions
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties
Job Qualifications
- Culinary school education preferred
- minimum 5 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in healthcare, hospitality, or a high-volume kitchen
- strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification a plus)
- ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- team player with strong communication and leadership skills
- knowledge of therapeutic diets and dietary restrictions preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with facility menus and resident dietary needs
- ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
- coordinate with the Dietary Manager and Dietitian to accommodate therapeutic and texture-modified diets
- maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency in the kitchen
- demonstrate excellent time management and attention to detail during meal prep and service
- lead and collaborate with dietary team members to promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
- contribute creativity and input for menu planning and special events
