Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified Diet Manager
  • 2-3 years of experience in food service preferably in healthcare or long-term care
  • Ability to follow tasks through to completion
  • Ability to read small print and hear verbal instructions with background noise
  • Ability to perform manual dexterity activities and grasping
  • Ability to climb, kneel, crouch, and/or operate foot controls
  • Ability to use a computer and other technology
  • Capability to maintain a safe working environment and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, noises, and infectious conditions
  • Frequent exposure to shifting priorities and stressful situations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified Diet Manager
  • 2-3 years of experience in food service, preferably in healthcare or long-term care
  • Ability to employ effective and respectful communication
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and compliance programs
  • Skilled in performance management and conflict resolution
  • Capability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily operations and staff management
  • Collaborate with department managers to manage staff and department effectively
  • Participate and contribute to performance management and review process
  • Implement departmental plans and priorities
  • Coordinate staff scheduling and assignment
  • Review and approve administrative functions such as time, payroll, and expenses
  • Respond promptly to meet or exceed customers' needs
