Job Requirements

  • Degree in food service or culinary certificate from accredited school preferred
  • Minimum of ten years of kitchen knowledge in food preparation, presentation, sourcing and purchasing
  • Experience in high-caliber catering environments
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Ability to present and execute culinary events
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques and world cuisines

Job Qualifications

  • Degree in food service or culinary certificate from accredited school preferred
  • Minimum of ten years of kitchen experience in food preparation, presentation, sourcing and purchasing
  • Experience in a high-caliber, high-touch catering environment
  • Proven ability to train, lead teams and manage culinary staff
  • Expertise in executing high-caliber culinary events
  • Ability to plan and present menus that are healthy, sustainable and reflective of ethnic cuisines
  • Comprehensive understanding of world cuisine and culinary techniques

Job Duties

  • Provide leadership and supervision to the kitchen to ensure proper execution of agreed-upon standards
  • Train culinarians in proper culinary techniques, cooking procedures, sanitation and safety
  • Work directly with staff to enhance preparation and presentation of food
  • Develop recipes in collaboration with the Executive Chef to meet diverse client needs
  • Coordinate with Executive Chef, Purchasing Agents and vendors to ensure ingredient sourcing and budget adherence
  • Fully responsible for all catering activities including cost control and brand management
