Job Requirements

- minimum 2 years of related culinary experience
- ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods
- capability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds unassisted

Job Duties
- Prepare plate and platter presentations for banquets
- prepare cold foods
- operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
- prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- prepare and cook food
- weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
- wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
- monitor food quality and test foods for doneness
- wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
- set up and break down work station
- check and ensure correct temperature of appliances and food
- follow company safety and security policies
- report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
- complete safety training and certifications
- maintain clean and professional uniform and appearance
- maintain confidentiality
- protect company assets
- welcome and acknowledge guests
- anticipate and address guests’ service needs
- communicate professionally
- answer telephones with etiquette
- develop and maintain positive work relationships
- support team goals
- ensure quality standards
- perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending
