Job Requirements

  • Education from a technical, trade, or vocational school
  • at least three years of related work experience

Job Duties

  • Prepare special meals or replace products as needed
  • regulate oven, grill, and broiler temperatures
  • remove food from freezer to defrost in refrigerator
  • ensure proper food portioning, plating, and garnishing
  • maintain food records
  • monitor quality and quantity of prepared food
  • communicate assistance needs during busy periods
  • report excess food products to kitchen leadership for daily specials
  • inform Food and Beverage staff about rejected products and special dishes
  • ensure food product quality
  • prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists
  • prepare cold dishes
  • assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and training of employees while serving as an example
  • comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions
  • participate in safety training and obtain certifications
  • maintain clean and professional uniform and appearance
  • protect company’s confidential information and property
  • anticipate guest service needs and respond accordingly
  • communicate professionally with team members
  • build and maintain positive working relationships
  • support team goals
  • listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns
  • ensure compliance with quality standards
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
