Job Requirements

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma
  • at least 3 years of related work experience
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare special meals or replace products
  • regulate oven, grill, and roaster temperatures
  • remove foods from freezer to thaw in refrigerator
  • ensure proper food portions, distribution, and seasoning
  • keep food records
  • control the quality and quantity of food prepared
  • communicate assistance needs during busy periods
  • report excess food products to chef for daily specials
  • inform Food and Beverage service staff of rejected products and special dishes
  • ensure food quality
  • prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklists
  • prepare cold dishes
  • assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, advising, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
  • serve as a role model
  • comply with all safety and company policies and procedures
  • report accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions to manager
  • complete safety training and obtain certifications
  • maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • protect confidential information and company assets
  • anticipate and attend to guest service needs
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • cultivate and maintain positive work relationships
  • support team goals
  • respond appropriately to employees' concerns
  • ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards
