Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Current valid driver’s license
  • Access to a working home telephone for business contact
  • Must have or be able to obtain required food production management certifications
  • ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within six months
  • Ability to meet physical demands of lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to maintain safe and sanitary food preparation environment
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree preferred but not mandatory
  • Minimum three years of facility or culinary management experience in high-volume food service
  • Experience in computer networks, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and electronically
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting business and technical documents
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence
  • Capability to present information clearly to groups
  • Strong mathematical and inventory control skills

Job Duties

  • Plan and direct all kitchen administration and food production
  • Ensure consistent food quality and presentation
  • Achieve food service profit objectives and maintain cleanliness standards
  • Control food and labor costs effectively
  • Train and build kitchen team
  • Foster teamwork and motivation
  • Handle guest concerns proactively
  • Develop and plan menus including catering and VIP services
  • Implement training programs for food preparation including HACCP guidelines
  • Manage vendor relationships and inventory control
  • Schedule kitchen staff and supervise employees
  • Oversee hiring, training, and supervision of food service staff
  • Collaborate with sales and event planners on menu customization
