Job Requirements
- Must be able to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Current valid driver’s license
- Access to a working home telephone for business contact
- Must have or be able to obtain required food production management certifications
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within six months
- Ability to meet physical demands of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to maintain safe and sanitary food preparation environment
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree preferred but not mandatory
- Minimum three years of facility or culinary management experience in high-volume food service
- Experience in computer networks, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and electronically
- Skilled in reading and interpreting business and technical documents
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Capability to present information clearly to groups
- Strong mathematical and inventory control skills
Job Duties
- Plan and direct all kitchen administration and food production
- Ensure consistent food quality and presentation
- Achieve food service profit objectives and maintain cleanliness standards
- Control food and labor costs effectively
- Train and build kitchen team
- Foster teamwork and motivation
- Handle guest concerns proactively
- Develop and plan menus including catering and VIP services
- Implement training programs for food preparation including HACCP guidelines
- Manage vendor relationships and inventory control
- Schedule kitchen staff and supervise employees
- Oversee hiring, training, and supervision of food service staff
- Collaborate with sales and event planners on menu customization
