Job Requirements

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role
  • Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to meet physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare food by following production instructions and standardized recipes
  • Prepare the work area with all necessary ingredients and tools
  • Perform tasks such as measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling food items
  • Safely use kitchen tools including knives
  • Operate machinery such as ovens, ranges, cutters, and blenders
  • Apply cooking techniques like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare meat, vegetables, and other foods
  • Organize, decorate, and serve food according to predetermined standards
