Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience managing kitchen or back of house operations
  • strong organizational and leadership skills
  • ability to work 50 hours per week generally over five days
  • willingness to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift over 50 pounds regularly
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to use a computer for scheduling, ordering, and reporting
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work flexible shifts including day, afternoon, and night

Job Qualifications

  • ability to make informed business decisions using numeric reasoning
  • knowledge of food safety standards including HAACP and Board of Health regulations

Job Duties

  • manage all back of house operations including quality, food production, inventory, food ordering, housekeeping, and menu management
  • assist in the development of overall strategy for the unit to meet business objectives, develop employees, and meet sales goals
  • make business decisions using numeric reasoning considering multiple business outcomes
  • manage the unit in the absence of the general manager
  • ensure the highest standard of customer service through effective coaching
  • communicate and follow-up on unit objectives with all staff until completion
  • maintain a sales-based focus and proactively seek out sales opportunities through phone calls, physical interactions, and driving when necessary
