Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience managing kitchen or back of house operations
- strong organizational and leadership skills
- ability to work 50 hours per week generally over five days
- willingness to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift over 50 pounds regularly
- valid driver’s license
- ability to use a computer for scheduling, ordering, and reporting
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work flexible shifts including day, afternoon, and night
Job Qualifications
- proven experience in kitchen or restaurant management
- strong leadership and team development skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- ability to make informed business decisions using numeric reasoning
- knowledge of food safety standards including HAACP and Board of Health regulations
- proficiency in inventory management and ordering
- ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- high level of physical fitness to meet job demands
Job Duties
- manage all back of house operations including quality, food production, inventory, food ordering, housekeeping, and menu management
- assist in the development of overall strategy for the unit to meet business objectives, develop employees, and meet sales goals
- make business decisions using numeric reasoning considering multiple business outcomes
- manage the unit in the absence of the general manager
- ensure the highest standard of customer service through effective coaching
- communicate and follow-up on unit objectives with all staff until completion
- maintain a sales-based focus and proactively seek out sales opportunities through phone calls, physical interactions, and driving when necessary
