  • Proven experience in bakery operations management
  • Experience managing teams of at least 10 bakers
  • Passion for bakery and selling
  • Proficiency on computer systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience in scratch production baking preferred particularly bread baking
  • Proven experience in bakery operations management

  • Skilled in training new bakers to proficiency

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver recommendations
  • Capable of handling stressful situations
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize
  • Skilled in team development and delegating tasks
  • Basic financial knowledge including sales and gross profit percentages

Job Duties

  • Use independent judgment in making employment-related and business decisions
  • Conduct interviews, performance reviews, and provide partner feedback
  • Train and develop bakery partners and manage department schedules
  • Provide superior customer service and lead the team in customer service excellence
  • Manage sales for promotional and special events
  • Oversee product merchandising and ensure optimum product presentation and stock
  • Maintain vendor relationships and collaborate with other department managers
  • Ensure compliance with government and company standards for freshness, safety, and sanitation
  • Manage department budget, labor, shrink, and expenses to meet financial goals
  • Conduct forecasting and production planning
  • Oversee product ordering and inventory controls
  • Generate new sales and maintain client relationships
