Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) B
  • Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience preferred
  • Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical exam, and background check
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work early morning shifts and occasional Saturdays
  • Willingness to comply with all company policies and safety procedures

  • Experience in waste collection or local delivery driving preferred
  • Valid CDL B license
  • Strong adherence to safety guidelines and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to waste collection
  • Good communication skills for customer interaction and team coordination
  • Reliable and responsible work ethic

Job Duties

  • Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, state and federal regulations
  • Maintains a clean and safe vehicle
  • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections using Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR)
  • Notes all vehicle issues on DVIR for corrective actions
  • Reports unsafe situations or service calls to Operations Manager or Dispatch
  • Participates in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings
  • Collaborates with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problem accounts
  • Performs all assigned duties as scheduled and assists other drivers as directed
  • Notifies management of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage
  • Communicates customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager
  • Dumps containers completely and leaves customer locations clean
  • Places containers properly on customer property ensuring lids are closed and do not block driveways
  • Completes and submits customer tickets for excess yardage removal
  • Follows route assignments and completes all end-of-route documentation
