Job Requirements
- Commercial driver’s license B (CDL)
- must be 18 years of age or older
- successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check including employment verification and motor vehicle record review
- acceptable driving record
- ability to operate heavy-duty trucks safely according to DOT and OSHA regulations

- ability to participate in required training and follow safety protocols
Job Duties
- Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, state and federal regulations and company expectations for the fleet
- maintains a clean and safe vehicle
- performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR), noting all issues for corrective review or repair
- immediately reports any unsafe situations or service calls to Operations Manager or Dispatch
- participates in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required
- works closely with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts
- notifies Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage
- communicates customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager
- completely dumps all containers and leaves the customer location clean
- submits customer tickets for excess yardage removal
- positions containers properly on customer property ensuring lids are replaced and containers do not block driveways or traffic
- follows route assignments and completes all documentation at the end of the route
