Lew Thompson & Son Trucking, Inc. is a leading transportation company specializing in the poultry production industry, operating a fleet of over 230 trucks and 400 trailers. Located in the central United States, the company has established a strong presence in delivering critical logistics services that support every stage of poultry production. Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of CDL A experience
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- No more than 1 serious traffic violation in the last year
- No critical accidents in the last year
- No DUIs in the last 3 years
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Minimum of 2 years CDL A driving experience
- Clean driving record with no more than 1 serious traffic violation in the last year
- No critical accidents in the last year
- No DUI offenses in the last 3 years
- Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Strong communication skills and reliability
Job Duties
- Operate late-model Peterbilt trucks within a 150-mile radius
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of poultry products and related goods
- Communicate with dispatch and management to coordinate routes and schedules
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting
- Comply with all federal, state, and company safety regulations
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork related to deliveries and hours of service
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and facilities
