Job Requirements
- Interstate Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 120 days
- Minimum 30 months of recent full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving experience or Walmart Fleet Development Academy graduation
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in three years
- No serious commercial motor vehicle traffic violations in last three years
- No preventable commercial motor vehicle accidents in last three years
- No preventable DOT recordable commercial vehicle accidents in last ten years
- No fatality or catastrophic injury related preventable accidents
- Residence within 250 miles of assigned facility or willingness to relocate within 90 days
Job Qualifications
- Valid interstate Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain within 120 days
- Minimum 30 months of Class A tractor/trailer driving experience in the last 4 years or graduation from Walmart Fleet Development Academy Program
- Proven safe driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past 3 years
- No serious traffic violations in the last 3 years
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last 3 years
- No preventable DOT recordable accidents in the last 10 years
- No fatality or catastrophic injury related preventable accidents in driving history
- Must live within 250 miles of assigned facility or be willing to establish residence within 90 days
- Strong commitment to punctuality and customer service
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Make no touch freight deliveries of merchandise to Walmart locations within the region
- Adhere to safety regulations and maintain high safety standards on the road
- Manage daily driving schedules to meet delivery deadlines
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and store managers
- Uphold customer service expectations by delivering on time every time
- Participate in company programs such as the Referral Program, Rider Program, and Driver Mentor Program
