Job Requirements
- Interstate Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat endorsement including cleared background check or will obtain Hazmat endorsement within 120 calendar days of date of hire
- Minimum of 30 months experience working in a full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving position in the previous 4 years or successful completion of the Walmart Fleet Development Academy Program
- No more than two moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No preventable DOT recordable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last ten years
- No preventable accident resulting in a fatality or catastrophic injury in driving history
- Must currently live within 250 miles of the assigned facility or willing to establish a residence within 250 miles by 90 days from hire date
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain within 120 days
- Minimum of 30 months of full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving experience within the last 4 years or completion of Walmart Fleet Development Academy
- Safe driving record with no serious traffic violations
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong commitment to customer service
- Positive attitude and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Make no touch freight deliveries of merchandise to Walmart locations within the region
- Follow all safety regulations and maintain a safe driving record
- Manage and complete all required paperwork and electronic logs
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper condition of assigned vehicles
- Participate in company training and development programs as required
