Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years tractor/trailer driving experience
- class A CDL license from the state of residence
- meet all DOT (FMCSA) requirements
- live within 60 miles of the distribution center at the time of hire
- be at least 21 years old
- complete DOT application (Clearing House)
- successfully pass MVR requirements, drug test, and background check
- no preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years
- no more than 2 of the same type of moving violations in the last 3 years
- no more than 3 moving violations in past 3 years
- no DUI/DWI convictions in past 10 years
- ability to work in extreme temperatures (-10F to 100F)
- reach, bend, and stoop while lifting up to 65 pounds per case
- proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking
- flexibility for weekend, holiday, and rotating shifts
- able to travel 5% for business needs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years tractor/trailer driving experience
- class A CDL license from the state of residence
- proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking to safely follow instructions and complete documentation
- prior food service delivery experience preferred
- safe and professional driving record
- ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- ability to work in extreme temperature conditions
- knowledge of DOT regulations and policies
Job Duties
- Make safe, timely deliveries within established restaurant delivery windows
- unload and stage product at 4-6 restaurants per shift
- complete all pickup and returns including pallets and carts from restaurants and properly submit paperwork
- assist in unloading the truck and putting away equipment upon return to the distribution center
- keep vehicle clean and report maintenance issues
- operate within hours-of-service limits using an electronic logging device (ELD)
- maintain an acceptable Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) record
- follow all pre- and post-trip equipment inspection and DVIR reporting procedures
- routinely audit vehicle registration, permits, insurance, IFTA, and other required documents
- follow all policies and procedures regarding safe food transport per FSMA
- have and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record compliant with DOT requirements
- lead with care by exhibiting honor, dignity, and respect when connecting with everyone
- build relationships with restaurant operators to learn about best practices
- collaborate with team leaders to assess unload time, delivery issues, and continuous improvement initiatives
