Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
- valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- insurability to operate vehicle
- 1 year tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- ability to drive tractor trailer day and night
- ability to meet productivity standards
- ability to handle hazardous materials and food products requiring refrigeration
- ability to operate equipment including 3 axle tractor and 45’-48’ trailer
- ability to perform basic math
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move 250 pounds with a hand cart
- willingness to work varied shifts including overnight, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
- valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- 1 year tractor trailer driving experience preferred or completion of tractor trailer driving school
- knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, safe lifting and delivery practices
- ability to communicate with customers and solve problems effectively
- able to drive long distances and in varying conditions
- ability to read, speak, and understand English
- basic math skills
Job Duties
- Unload product from trailer by hand or hand cart and place in designated customer storage areas according to specifications and standards
- complete all paperwork including DOT logs, inspections, vehicle maintenance, and reports accurately and timely
- ensure food safety protocols are met including temperature control, product inspection, and sanitation
- develop good customer relationships through excellent and courteous service
- assist maintaining sanitary conditions in warehouse and yard as needed
- operate tractor trailer and deliver products safely and efficiently
- perform other duties as assigned by management
