Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum one year experience driving tractor trailers
- Meet state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past three years
- Pass drug and background checks
- Pass road test
- Possess or obtain DOT Health Card
- Ability to lift and move product cases weighing between 10-90 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- One or more year of experience driving tractor trailers
- Valid CDL-A license
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past three years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and report issues
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately report all safety hazards and inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of loaded products
- Complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage
- Perform damage control checks on items, scan and contact supervisor about removing orders
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain signatures
- Collect money where required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- Perform daily records of hours of service and enter logs as per DOT and company requirements
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock, and keep trailers clear and clean
- Secure all equipment and complete paperwork at end of shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned
