Job Requirements
- Meet all DOT (FMCSA) requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a Class A CDL license from the state of residence
- Complete a D.O.T Application (Clearing House)
- Pass MVR, drug test, and background check
- Live within 60 miles of the distribution center
- No preventable D.O.T. recordable accidents within the past 3 years
- No more than 2 of the same type of moving violations in the last 3 years
- No DUI/DWI convictions in past 10 years
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures (-10F to 100F)
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds regularly
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed
- Willingness to travel up to 5% for operator and supplier visits
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year tractor/trailer driving experience
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Safe driving record with no preventable accidents in the past 3 years
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Drive state-of-the-art trucks to deliver products to Chick-fil-A restaurants
- Unload and stage products at multiple restaurants per shift
- Complete pickup and returns of equipment such as pallets and carts and submit paperwork
- Assist in unloading the truck and storing equipment upon return
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance issues
- Operate within hours-of-service limits and follow electronic logging device requirements
- Build relationships with restaurant operators and collaborate with team leaders on delivery processes and improvements
