Job Description

Seward Motor Freight Inc. is a reputable trucking company with a rich history dating back to the early 1940s. Founded by Willard and Wanda Miers as a less-than-truckload (LTL) operation transporting freight between Omaha and Seward, Nebraska, the company has steadily grown and evolved over the decades. In 1969, Wayne and Joanie Tanderup purchased and incorporated Seward Motor Freight, developing the business throughout the 1970s. Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of CDL A driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A driver’s license
  • Ability to comply with DOT regulations
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with truck driving

Job Qualifications

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum of 2 years CDL-A driving experience
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
  • Strong knowledge of truck maintenance
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Drive assigned routes safely and efficiently
  • Maintain truck cleanliness and perform routine vehicle inspections
  • Communicate effectively with dispatcher and driver manager
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies
  • Handle drop and hook freight with care
  • Report any mechanical issues or accidents promptly
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation
