Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in catering or professional kitchen settings
- Availability for entire season including weekends and long hours
- Ability to prepare meals for large groups of 50-100 people
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance
- Commitment to working irregular hours aligned with team schedule
- Ability to work collaboratively with a kitchen team
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a chef or in professional culinary roles
- Knowledge of nutrition requirements for athletes
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
- Culinary arts degree preferred but not required
- Strong food safety and kitchen organization skills
- Experience in inventory management and reporting
Job Duties
- Execute daily high-quality cooking for players and staff ensuring consistency and proper presentation
- Maintain a clean organized and health-code-compliant kitchen following safety protocols
- Work alongside our Catering Manager cooks and other kitchen staff
- Manage inventory and report low inventory to our Catering Manager
- Work long irregular work hours including weekends starting on the Monday before each homestand and continuing for the entire week while the team is in town
- Prepare catered meals twice a day for home and visiting teams of 50-100 people
- Develop menus in collaboration with the Catering Manager that comply with nutrition guidelines set forth by Major League affiliate
