Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of food service experience including at least one year in management
  • prior catering experience required
  • knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards
  • proficiency in financial and budget management
  • ability to develop and maintain effective client relationships
  • strong communication skills
  • ServSafe certification
  • proficiency in MS Office applications
  • ability to work varied hours including evenings or weekends as needed
  • ability to perform physical tasks related to catering operations

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of food service experience including one year at the management level
  • experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations
  • catering experience required
  • knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills
  • proficient computer skills with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet
  • ServSafe certified

Job Duties

  • Supervises all catering events
  • involved in catering events operations including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and facility-related activities
  • works with the Executive Chef in creating menus
  • trains catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service
  • tracks and monitors labor and food costs for each event
  • communicates with management, clients, customers, and associates maintaining excellent relationships
  • assists in responsibility for all foodservice-related activities
  • performs other duties as assigned
