Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar culinary or catering lead role in a professional kitchen
- Ability to perform essential kitchen skills such as knife handling, batch cooking, flavor development, grilling, wok cooking, and timing
- Capacity to supervise and coordinate food service associates
- Capability to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday full-time at the Redmond, WA location
- Ability to pass a background check and maintain drug-free workplace standards
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar culinary or catering lead role
- Developed skills and techniques including knife, batch, flavor, grill, wok, sterno, and timing
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to interact professionally with customers and staff
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in maintaining food quality, presentation, and portion control
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews and recommending disciplinary action
- Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
- Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area
- Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Relays relevant information directly to supervisor
- Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers
- Keeps up with peak production and service hours
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
- Tracks product production, consumption and waste
- Informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
- Performs other duties as assigned
