Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar culinary or catering lead role in a professional kitchen
  • Ability to perform essential kitchen skills such as knife handling, batch cooking, flavor development, grilling, wok cooking, and timing
  • Capacity to supervise and coordinate food service associates
  • Capability to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Willingness to work Monday through Friday full-time at the Redmond, WA location
  • Ability to pass a background check and maintain drug-free workplace standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar culinary or catering lead role
  • Developed skills and techniques including knife, batch, flavor, grill, wok, sterno, and timing
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers and staff
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in maintaining food quality, presentation, and portion control

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews and recommending disciplinary action
  • Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area
  • Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Relays relevant information directly to supervisor
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers
  • Keeps up with peak production and service hours
  • Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
  • Tracks product production, consumption and waste
  • Informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
  • Performs other duties as assigned
