Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing and walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- ability to perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures around 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and cold environments
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment such as box cutters and electric pallet jacks
- may require use of ladders
- arrives to workstation on time, appropriately groomed and dressed
- works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings

Job Duties
- Check out customer groceries efficiently and accurately
- uphold government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation
- follow proper check, ATM, and credit procedures
- use proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items
- clean and stock Front End areas, including own register – changing tapes and ribbon as necessary
- follow all cash handling procedures – meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy
- assist with training of new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members
- assist supervisor in controlling customer flow and backed up lines – helping reduce customer waiting time
- proactively participate in company programs as directed by leadership
- provide excellent customer service, address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and model suggestive selling techniques
- answer phones and pages promptly and courteously
- maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
- immediately report safety hazards and violations
- perform other duties as assigned by store or company leadership
- complete shopper training and perform assigned shopper tasks within the Customer Service Team (for hires November 2024 and beyond)
