Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of cashier or related customer service experience
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • basic math skills
  • standing for extended periods
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • good communication skills
  • ability to resolve customer issues effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred 1+ years of cashier experience
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
  • good communication skills
  • ability to use point of sale systems

Job Duties

  • Process checkout and/or return transactions
  • monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
  • provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service
  • seek product/project knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities
  • follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink
  • position and support cashiers
  • expedite price checks and approve point of sale transactions and markdowns
  • handle transactions for mainline registers, self-checkout, returns, pro desk, special services, and tool rental
  • provide first level escalation for customer issues
  • assist in supervising, coaching, and training other front end associates
  • participate in training new cashiers and utilize coaching tools to develop cashiers
