Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of cashier or related customer service experience
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- basic math skills
- standing for extended periods
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- good communication skills
- ability to resolve customer issues effectively
Job Qualifications
- Preferred 1+ years of cashier experience
- strong customer service skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- leadership or supervisory experience is a plus

- ability to use point of sale systems

Job Duties
- Process checkout and/or return transactions
- monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
- provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service
- seek product/project knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities
- follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink
- position and support cashiers
- expedite price checks and approve point of sale transactions and markdowns
- handle transactions for mainline registers, self-checkout, returns, pro desk, special services, and tool rental
- provide first level escalation for customer issues
- assist in supervising, coaching, and training other front end associates
- participate in training new cashiers and utilize coaching tools to develop cashiers
