Job Requirements
- Score of 90% or better on all health department inspections
- score of 90% or better on all mystery shopper reports
- follow all dress code requirements including blue jeans or khakis, solid color shorts, ESC T-shirt or fishing shirt with ESC logo, ESC hat if desired, black non skid shoes
- all routine work documented in operational manual
- work according to company policies and standards
- hold client and company information as confidential
- provide staff assistance and cover other areas as needed
- respect coworkers' name, space, and need for concentration
- attend quarterly meetings and yearly evaluations
- minimum age 16 for cashier or busser roles, 18 for bartender or maintenance
- wear hair above collar length
- handle money and operate cash register
- pass all tests for position qualification
- answer telephone promptly and courteously
- greet and seat customers promptly if performing bartender or cashier duties
- clear tables and maintain clean floor areas
- physical ability to stand and walk for 4 to 10 hours
- lift and carry food and beverage items up to 100 pounds
- push/pull items up to 150 pounds
- frequently bend, stoop, twist, and reach
- use hands and fingers to hold and handle objects
- have corrected vision and hearing
- climb stairs or ladders as needed
- communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- mentally alert for remembering instructions and details
- work in controlled moderate temperature and high noise conditions
- identify and respond to hazards immediately
Job Qualifications
- Valid TABC certification (bartenders)
- valid Nueces County Food Handler's Permit (bartenders and cashiers)
- ability to speak, understand, read and write in English
- friendly and upbeat personality
- good personal hygiene
- ability to work AM/PM shifts and number of hours as specified by management
Job Duties
- Bring restaurant issues to FOH manager to take to weekly meetings
- meet or exceed Water Street Way standards for cleanliness, product quality and guest satisfaction
- implement all systems and forms for bar, cashier, bus, main operations
- assist in the training of all new personnel
- adhere to all policy and procedures of Water Street
- maintain a clean and neat work area by performing assigned cleaning tasks
- stock and maintain inventory of items needed in food and beverage service
