Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience is preferred but not required as training will be provided
- Must pass a background check prior to starting any cash handling position
- Must meet Luby's cashier certification criteria
- Open availability to varied work schedules and hours depending on restaurant needs
- Ability to stand for several hours and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must be a team player
- Good organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Familiarity with point of sale (POS) systems is a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and undergo training for cashier certification
Job Duties
- Take orders and process payments accurately using the point of sale system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area
- Restock items as needed to ensure availability for guests
- Answer phone calls professionally and assist with guest inquiries
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service to ensure guest satisfaction
- Follow all cashier certification criteria and company policies
- Collaborate with team members to support smooth restaurant operations
