Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous experience is preferred but not required as training will be provided
  • Must pass a background check prior to starting any cash handling position
  • Must meet Luby's cashier certification criteria
  • Open availability to varied work schedules and hours depending on restaurant needs
  • Ability to stand for several hours and walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Good organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Familiarity with point of sale (POS) systems is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and undergo training for cashier certification

Job Duties

  • Take orders and process payments accurately using the point of sale system
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area
  • Restock items as needed to ensure availability for guests
  • Answer phone calls professionally and assist with guest inquiries
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Follow all cashier certification criteria and company policies
  • Collaborate with team members to support smooth restaurant operations
