Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience in hospitality or call center environment preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Proficient computer and word processing skills
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute preferred
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to sit, stand, or bend for extended periods
- Must pass required background checks and drug screenings
- No driver’s license required

- Previous switchboard experience preferred
- Previous hospitality related experience highly preferred
- Qualified candidate must have excellent communication skills
- Pleasant phone voice
- Ability to multi-task
- Great customer service skills must also have the initiative to work independently
- Must be available/flexible to work varying shifts
- Must be able to sit, stand or bend for the duration of shift
- Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies
- Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks
Job Duties
- Answers all incoming calls to the Hotel from internal and external callers within 3 rings
- Responds to inquiries such as directions and calls for assistance
- Accurately enters, reviews and confirms Hotel Reservations with guests
- Has a complete awareness and understanding of all promotions and specials
- Assists with wake up calls, inquiries, dining reservations, etc
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Transferring calls to proper extensions, operating voice mail systems
- Courteous and professional manner in all dealings with guests, vendors and other employees
- Welcomes hotel guests with a smile over the phone
- Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems
- Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers
- Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community
- Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary
